Part-time Youth Worker

Part-time Youth Worker

Who will be working to establish relationships with young Traveller females and to support them in taking an active part in their own community and wider society; delivering youth work programmes to young Travellers (mostly female but sometimes male), between the ages of 10 - 21 on a face-to-face basis; as part of a team of youth workers working under the direction of the Children and Young Peoples’ Service Manager.

Hours of work will be 22.5 hours per week normally. This time will be broken up over three evening sessions and three mornings. 60% of this time will be spent with the young people.

The salary will be in the range of €32,970 - €46,054 (pro-rata €19,782 - €27,632) as per CDYSB Youth Worker scale commensurate with qualifications and experience

Community Employment (CE) Scheme Supervisor

To deliver a CE training programme for Members of the Traveller community in Exchange House Ireland National Traveller Service; to provide opportunity, support and to coach CE Participants towards gaining the skills and competencies in preparation for employment; to ensure the effective and efficient administration and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Scheme and to report to the Education & Training Manager and the Sponsoring Committee on its implementation

This is a full time position (39 hours per week), based on an annual contract.

The salary will be in the range as set by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection for CE Supervisors.
