Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention Men’s Worker

Exchange House Ireland National Travellers Service is seeking a suitable candidate to fill a position of Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention Men’s Worker to engage and work with Traveller men in the area of mental health recovery, promotion and suicide prevention

National Traveller Mental Health Service is a Traveller specific mental health and suicide prevention service. The service aims to improve mental health and overall wellbeing and reduce the likelihood of suicide within the Traveller community. It delivers mental health supports and suicide prevention by engaging and consulting with Travellers and others to provide education, training, individual support and group work to the community.

The service adheres to and is guided by the Ireland’s National Strategy to Reduce Suicide 2015-2020 “Connecting for Life”.

 

This is a full-time position of 39 hours a week

The salary will be in the range of €30,293 - €43,451 as per the HSE Social Care Worker Scale commensurate with qualifications and experiences
